Pen nibs come in a variety of different shapes and sizes for different purposes but can be divided into two main types: broad nibs and pointed nibs . Some times they are referred to as F ( fine) M ( medium) B (Broad) according to the thickness. NIbs may also be flexed or unflexed.

Some world famous nibs are:

Sai-bi Togi nib.

Yukio Nagahara is credited with the invention of this nib He is the son of Nobuyoshi Nagahara, a world-renowned nib specialist who works at Sailor pens japan.
